On Deer Key in the Florida Keys, I couldn’t help but stop and snap this photo of a roster that had come to the shopping center for a little key lime pie, I guess. He was a beauty. His feathers were so shiny and bright, probably due to the chicken suntan oil, he was using.
It was obvious that he hung out there frequently, checking out the little red hens as they passed him by. All he need was some sunglasses so he wasn’t so obvious in his actions.
Oh well, it was good to see him there and I was glad to take his picture.
Any self respecting Rooster in Key West would strut a few miles for a slice of key lime pie.; And a very handsome rooster he is.
They do tend to run the roost in the keys..:-)
