The other evening I took this photo to my camera club. It was a photo from my last Florida trip. After viewing the photo, they shared with me that they liked the owl, but thought the background was blown out and too light..(FYI Because the owl was in the shadows in the original photo, I had to lighten it a bit in Photoshop in order to see the owl in the tree, and that caused the background to be too light….)
A few days after the Camera Club meeting, we had a great full moon, and I was able to take a decent photo of it. When this was accomplished, I went to Photoshop and used the magic extractor tool, pulled the owl out of the photo, and placed him on top of the full moon shot. I then blurred the moon a bit..This was the results. A little bit a cheatin’ , but don’t tell….Have a great day….
