As we start Thanksgiving Week, I am flooded with the many blessings that we have and continually are given each day…The sun, rain, air, nature, beauty, friends, and family just to name a few. Many of us are blessed with good health and happiness, and others are not so fortunate. So at this time, I wish to share a prayer that we say at our thanksgiving table that some of you will appreciate …
O Heavenly Father, we thank you thee for this food and remember the hungry.
We thank Thee for our Health and remember the Sick.
We thank Thee for our Friends and remember the Friendless.
We thank Thee for our Freedom and remember the Enslaved.
May these remembrances stir us to Service that Thy Gifts to us may be used to help others.
I do not know the author of this prayer, but it is one that I’ve saved and appreciated through the years. As time goes on, it becomes more meaningful to me. It is my pleasure to share it with you.
Happy Thanksgiving, Folks! Thank you for stopping by.
